Video Amendments

From the feedback given we notcied that a lot of the people found that the music video was too light and it didn't really suit the style of music being played. So to overcome this we used the Brightness/Contrast tool and the Desaturate tool. These two tools work well together because the destaurate removes a lot of the colour and with the use of the contrast it helps make the video look a lot more grungy and suit the music.

After looking through the video we realised that some of the clips we originally put in, they did not work as good as some other clips we had. This image above shows that rather than just replacing the clip, we put the new clip ontop because we may need to revert back to it later on so we can easily just pull it out of the timleine rather than looking for it again.

Website Amendments

From the feedback we received and by doing more research we noticed that a 'FORUM' page wasn't necessary so we decided to remove it. The reason we removed it is because when we did additional research many band websites did not have one, they just used social media sites to communicate wth fans.

We also made our own social media pages (twitter and instagram) to put into the social media feed on our website. We updated the social sites on a regular bases to build up a good and extensive feed, incorporting different links and pictures to represent a real band.

The final amendment we made to the website homepage was that we added our final music video.

Digipak Amendments

From the feedback we recived we were given a few pieces of useful feedback to help us improve our digipak. The main concern that quite a few people found was that the back of the digipak did not have enough song names on, making the album a very small and more like an EP. So I responded to this feedback by adding more songs but also changing them because we felt that by using songs that 'Royal Blood' have done was more like copying their album so we came up with some new song names.
I think that the feeback helped a lot because now looking at the finished product I am very pleased with it and it looks a lot better than before.

We also found out that many people had trouble reading the lyrics page so I simply just made the text bigger so it is easier for people to read.

After Effects - The Cup

To create the desired effect for the slo-motion frozen water i follow a tutorial that i found on YouTube:

Editing:
To begin with i imported the chosen footage of the cup. For the effect to work i had to ensure that the footage panned round the cup slowly and smoothly, as well as the actors being as still as possible.

I then began to add in the frozen water images and track them to the footage so that they would follow with the cups movements. I also had to make the images 3D so that the water looked realistic.

Once the water was added and tracked to the footage i was able to make slight adjustments to their position so that it like the water was actually spilling out of the cup.

Rough Cut Amendments

Even though the feedback that we received from our target audience was primarily very positive, we have taken into account some of their comments to come up with some amendments and improvements that can be made to our products.
From the feedback we received here are the amendments we intend to make on our video, website and digipak:

Video
- Make the video look more grungy and darker - using the desaturate and the brightness and contrast tool.
- Decrease the brightness of the cutaways
-Make some of the cuts quicker, build up the tension towards the end of the video

Digipak
- Add more tracks to the back of the digipak and make the text smaller
- Make the text a bit bigger on the lyrics page.

Website
- Possibly add an 'Enter Page' before the homepage
- Remove the 'FORUM' page

By making these amendments to our products it will allow them to be more appealing to the target audience and make them resemble the professional products that we have researched into.
Once these amendments have been made we will then gain further feedback to ensure that they are suitable and appealing to the target audience.
